Is there a deposit required to sign up with WCS Telecom?
No deposit is required.
   
Is a credit check required?
A credit check is required only when ordering ten or more lines.
   
Is a social security number required to do a credit check?
Yes.
   
Can WCS Telecom provide local dial tone service to residential customers?
No, we cannot.
   
Does WCS Telecom charge an extra fee to put account codes on my lines?

No, we do not.

   
Does WCS Telecom offer detailed billing reports?

Yes, WCS Telecom offers reporting by account code, location, call duration, time of day, day of month, by area code, by country, and/or by longest calls/most called number.

   
Does WCS Telecom offer 24 hour Customer Service?

Yes, we do.

   
What is WCS Telecom's billing cycle?

Billing for the previous month is mailed between the 5th and 7th of the month and due by the 25th. If bill is paid late, WCS Telecom accesses a 1.5% finance charge on the balance due.

   
Will I see my WCS Telecom calls on my local phone bill?

No, WCS Telecom bills separately unless we are your local company.

   
Does WCS Telecom reimburse the switching fees assessed by the local company?

No, we do not.

   
Can my WCS Telecom bill be paid automatically each month by credit/debit card?

Yes, it can. You may note this request on your original order or by calling Customer Service.

   
Can I pay over the phone with a credit card or check?

You can pay over the phone with a credit card (or Visa/Mastercard debit card), but not by check-by-phone.

   
Can certain areas be blocked from calling a toll free to prevent misdials?

Yes, they can.

   
Does WCS Telecom charge a monthly fee to have a toll free number?

No, we do not. You are only charged for what you use. Please note, you will be responsible for ANY call that comes in on the toll free, including misdialed calls.

   
Does WCS Telecom contact my current long distance carrier to close my account?

No, you must contact your current long distance carrier to do this. We highly recommend making sure you are switched to WCS Telecom before doing so.

   
How long does it take to switch to WCS Telecom's service?

This process usually takes 4-6 business days. WCS Telecom must first input your information into our system. After this takes place, your local phone company will be notified to direct your calls to WCS Telecom. If there is a problem with switching at the local company, this may slow down the process.

   
What is the Universal Service Fund?

The USF is a federal fund that contributes to advanced telecommunications services for U.S. schools, classrooms, health care providers, and libraries.

   
How do I sign up for WCS Telecom service?

Orders can be completed over our webpage, via fax, or U.S. mail.

   
What is a P.I.C.C. fee?

A Primary Interexchange Carrier Fee is a FCC regulated fee charged by the local phone company to WCS Telecom. We pass this charge onto you. This fee is not charged to residential customers or single-line business customers.

   
Does WCS Telecom contact my current long distance carrier to close my account?

No, you must contact your current long distance carrier to do this. We highly recommend making sure you are switched to WCS Telecom before doing so.


   
How do I access my bill online?

Go to WCS Telecom's homepage to customer log in". Put in customer log in number, password (if you've never accessed this feature before, your password is "password"), and invoice date you would like to view.
